Mothers like Tetyana, in Ukraine, have had their lives torn apart by the Russian invasion on February 24th 2022. A single mother of four, her husband, a non-combatant, was killed in the early months of the war, and she now faces an anxious future.
The invasion has caused widespread shock and fear and resulted in 500,000 casualties to date. Millions have fled to the neighbouring countries of Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova and beyond. Even as winter is at it's harshest, fighting in the streets of Ukraine's largest cities continues, forcing families to find shelter in basements and tube stations away from the violence.
More than a year has passed since the war began and the people of Ukraine still need your help. Mission Without Borders is determined to do all it can for families like Tetyana’s and refugee families that have fled from the east. Together with local church partners and with your help we want to bring these words alive from Jesus in Matthew 25:35, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me.”
